A new project across the Lachlan catchment is giving farmers the opportunity to learn more about creating healthy soil in an easy to understand, practical and hands-on approach.
Lachlandcare Inc. have teamed with landholders and Local Landcare Coordinators to put together six workshops across the Lachlan catchment. Workshop participants will be able to understand and assess soil health & biology, read and understand soil tests, and make decisions for improved nutrient management and soil health.
Workshops will be presented by David Hardwick, an inspiring independent agro-ecologist with 20 years experience.
August workshops will work on soil fundamentals and key steps to effective management, while the September workshops will build on this and develop skills needed to make informed management decisions.
