Bill Gammage [1] is from Wagga Wagga and is an Australian academic historian, Adjunct Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the Humanities Research Centre of the Australian National University.  He is also the author of The Biggest Estate on Earth:  How Aborigines Made Australia [3].
